Writer’s Workshop

November 30th, 2013 by Magdalena Tabor

Jars of letters.
Trays of verbs.
Adjectives lined up
Like soldiers on a shelf.
Perched upon a stool
Of my own making
To hammer words
Into phrases,
Some of which will fit
And others to be thrown
Into the waste bin
Designated for discarded
Brain cells.
Or a receptacle reserved
For recycling
The mind’s steady stream
Of thought.
Grist to mull over
And mill.

  1. Michael Tabor Says:

Trying to get that perfect word, phrase, or limpid passage, etc. & then make it all somehow expressively lucid and free from obscurity. Nice poem !!!
