Lonely Barn

October 9th, 2013 by Magdalena Tabor

Lonely Barnbarn

Prays on its knees,

Twice divorced

By a forked road.

She (the stately Farmhouse)

Either doesn’t hear

Or won’t listen,

Closes her eyes

With shades half drawn

Soon to be widowed.

No one cultivates

Its soul.

Acres left barren

Gives way to bramble

And thorn.

The stinging nettle

Knows one cure.

The wind remedies

With another.
